Our History

Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages was founded in 1983 in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. Named after the renowned 18th-century Turkmen poet and enlightener Döwletmämmet Azady, the institute has grown to become the country's leading higher education institution for language studies, training thousands of linguists, translators, philologists, and foreign-language educators over four decades.

The institute operates under the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and is accredited to award Bachelor's, Master's, and postgraduate degrees across 18 language specialities.
